Exchange Programs Internship

Purpose of the Role  

The Exchange Programs Intern will support the Exchanges Team in its implementation of in-person and virtual exchange programs. Through this internship, we hope to support candidates seeking careers in international exchanges and public diplomacy. 

You can expect a fast-paced, well-rounded experience in all aspects of international exchanges work with a small and dynamic nonprofit organization and opportunities to work on multiple projects and experience new challenges and program models on a regular basis. 

The ideal candidate should possess experience providing logistical support for international exchange programs, including preparing briefing books and welcome materials, coordinating ground transportation, and making hotel reservations. An interest in international affairs, advocacy, and/or public diplomacy is an asset.

Core Responsibilities   

  • Printing and organizing of program books and welcome packets 
  • Editing of program materials
  • Coordinating ground transportation, lodging, and other logistics as needed
  • Accompanying participants to program activities

Qualifications

  • Enrolled as a student during the internship period 
  • Desire to pursue a career in international exchange, public diplomacy, and/or international affairs 
  • Experience providing logistical support for international exchange programs or similar activities
  • Confident public speaking and professional demeanor
  • Spanish competency a plus
