Announcing National Search for President and CEO

Washington, DC—The Global Ties U.S. Board of Directors announce a national search to fill the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Ties U.S. Jennifer Clinton, Ph.D., will step down from the role at the end of October 2017 to join Cultural Vistas as President and CEO. The Board seeks an experienced and visionary leader with demonstrated experience in the fields of international exchange, public diplomacy, and nonprofit network management.

The President and CEO—who heads both Global Ties U.S. and the Global Ties Foundation, the charitable arm of Global Ties U.S.— leads a professional staff of 17 and manages an annual budget of approximately $9.5 million. Over the past six years, Global Ties U.S. has significantly expanded as a force for public and citizen diplomacy. Global Ties U.S. has developed a wide range of new partnerships to implement innovative exchange programs across the U.S. It has significantly increased its engagement with international exchange alumni organizations. To infuse a spirit of innovation and philanthropy into the organization and the Network, the organization launched the Global Ties Foundation in 2016 as the charitable arm of the organization.

The Search Committee is led by Peggy Parfenoff, Executive Director of World Chicago, and includes representatives from the Global Ties Network, Advisory Council, as well as of the Global Ties U.S. and Global Ties Foundation Boards.
