Celebrating America’s 250th Across the Global Ties Network
2026 National Meeting: America at 250
In February 2026, the Global Ties U.S. National Meeting brought together 450 public diplomacy leaders from across the United States to celebrate the Global Ties Network and America’s 250th anniversary. Programming celebrated American excellence, innovation, and leadership, and ways to showcase this to international visitors through sports, road trips, or historic sites during this milestone year.
IVLP Freedom 250 Programming
Across the country, the Global Ties Network is celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with the International Visitor Leadership Program through locally driven Freedom 250 programming. These programs engage visiting leaders with communities nationwide to explore how Americans are commemorating this milestone around shared themes, including:
- The history and legacy of the Revolutionary War
- American excellence since the Declaration of Independence
- U.S. historical contributions and cultural exports
