Where Most Needed

Help equip communities throughout the U.S. for their critical role in subnational diplomacy.

At Global Ties U.S., we help nearly 90 communities across the United States connect the world through international exchange. Our training and professional development opportunities help our members build a collaborative community of practice, expand their skills and competencies as local leaders, and elevate their knowledge and understanding of their roles as our country’s citizen ambassadors. Our advocacy ensures that policymakers and the public understand their economic and foreign policy impact.

Contributions directly support our mission with flexible, unrestricted funding that helps us:

  • Equip citizen ambassadors and exchange professionals with the skills and tools they need to advance their mission
  • Respond to emerging needs and challenges in a rapidly-changing environment – including the evolving COVID-19 situation and its impact on exchange programs
  • Mobilize our Network to communicate the powerful impact of citizen-led engagement in foreign affairs.

Help secure the future of Global Ties U.S.

I could see how the skills I gained during the training can help build a safe space, which leads to trust and in turn leads to community building. They will benefit me in my current work with IVLP, and also in other forums where I work — city council, synagogue, politics. – Global Ties Network Member
